1. The Seychelles


Located some 1,500 kilometers east of main-land Africa, the Seychelles are pure paradise. 2. The Maldives

Several atolls of this chain were totally vanished during the Tsunami in 2004, and in the wake of this devastation, the government has constructed flood barriers to reduce the impact of any potential tsunamis. It is one of the most frequently visited sites in Asia. Besides the backpackers, many Bollywood and Hollywood stars also love spending their leisure over here. The island was also ranked as most romantic tourist site in the world, recently. The best time to visit the Maldives is during November-May.


 


3. The Cook Islands


Third on the list of top five best tropical islands around the world are the Cook Islands. This group of tiny South Pacific islands is named after its discoverer James Cook. These Islands manage to draw very few visitors annually and it is just because they’re quite far off the map. Because of its calm and quite ambience, it can be an ideal site for the honeymooners.


 


4. Fernando de Noronha


Located off from the Brazilian coast, Fernando de Noronha is an archipelago of twenty-one isles and islets. Home to almost two thousand inhabitants, these Islands were formed after several years of volcanic activity. To maintain the beauty of the island, the authorities don’t allow more than four-hundred visitors at a time. This site is definitely mecca for tourists and divers.


 


5. Turks and Caicos


Located 575 miles south-east of Miami and thirt-nine miles southeast of Mayaguana, Turks and Caicos is another beautiful island on the earth. With one of the longest coral reefs in the world, white sand beaches, see-through waters and a profusion of dive spots, the island manages to attract large number of visitors and backpackers annually. Bird sanctuary French Cay, Caicos Conch Farm and Columbus Landfall National Park are some attractions of the site which make it one of the top five best tropical islands around the world.
