Top Five Tourist Attractions in Paris


1. Eiffel Tower



The Eiffel Tower located on the Champ de Mars in Paris, leads the “top five tourist attractions in Paris.” It is one of the most recognizable structures as well as most-visited paid monument in the world. The exact length of Eiffel Tower is 320 metres.  It had been the tallest construction in the world until the accomplishment of the Chrysler Building in 1930. In 2010, almost 250 millionth visitors came here to see this adventurous place.


2. Louvre Museum



The 2nd name in the list “top five tourist attractions in Paris” is Louvre Museum. The museum located at the heart of Paris, is one of the most visited art museum in the world and a historical monument.  The opening ceremony of Louvre Museum was held on 10 August 1793 with an exhibition of 537 paintings, it became a public museum at the end of the 18th century. The museum has a vast range of collections which include the monuments from the olden times to the mid-19th century. A great fragment of the collection contains European canvases and statuettes.


3. Notre Dame



Notre Dame is a momentous Roman Catholic Marian basilica on the eastern half of Paris. Notre Dame has been considered one of the great specimens of French Gothic architecture. Notre Dame is the basilica of the Catholic Archdiocese of Paris. Notre Dame ranked third in the list of “top five tourist attractions in Paris,” down to its reliquary. Notre Dame de Paris was amongst the leading constructions in the world to use the flying buttress. The basilica have total five bells, the greatest one is located in the South Tower. This bell is always rung at least 5 seconds before the rest.


4. Arc de Triomphe



Another name in the list of top five tourist attractions in Peris is Arc de Triomphe, which is one of the most famous monuments in Paris. Arc de Triomphe is located in the middle of the Place Charles de Gaulle at the western end of the Champs-Élysées. The monument, designed by the Roman Arch of Titus, is 50 meters high, 45 meters wide and 72 meters deep.


5. Champs-Élysées



Champs-Élysées is a highway in Paris stretched from “the la Concorde” to “Charles de Gaulle”, which draw the attentions of tourists down to its attractive location. Champs-Élysées is one of the one of the most expensive floorings of real estate in the world, decorated with luxury shops, cafes, cinemas and clipped horse-chestnut trees. Numerous French memorials are also placed on the street, comprising the Place de la Concorde and the Arc de Triomphe. Close to Place de la Concorde, the highway is surrouded by gorgeously organized gardens and grand buildings including. Due to its beautiful location, Champs-Élysées secures a spot in top five tourist attractions in Paris.
