People are very careful when they are choosing the destination for their vacations. They usually go for traditional places that have proven their reputation through the years and that attract many tourists. Thus they guarantee themselves nice service and interesting time with many things to see and spots to visit.

When you want to see France, the first recommendation you will get will be for Paris of course. But when you are looking for a place to spend a summer vacation you can go nowhere else but to the French Riviera. For decades this south part of France has been symbol of class and luxury, perfect service, great places for entertainment and hotels to stay at.

You can be sure that whichever of the famous spots on the Riviera you will choose you will make a good choice. However if you want to spend a vacation with class, you can make reservations for nowhere else but for St. Tropez.

Situated on the south-eastern part of the country on the Mediterranean Sea it is one of the places where many celebrities from all over the world have bough houses or are just coming for a weekend or a month during the warmest part of the year. The atmosphere in the resort is very welcoming for all the visitors coming in the place. This is due to the architecture of the houses and the colors they are painted in. Most of them are pastel and that creates very warm and cozy feeling.

The beauty of the town has attracted and inspired many artists from France and all over the continent.

One spot a visitor has to see at all coasts is the port of St. Tropez. In the past centuries it has been very busy trading place. Today it has long ago lost its importance and is much more quiet and tranquil. It is very beautiful to be seen. It is also the spot where most of the regattas in the area are taking place which is one event very interesting for the tourists.

When talking about events which are held in the area, the above mentioned regattas are some of the most popular of them. The most famous of all such competitions is held in September each year in St. Tropez. This regatta is so amazing that many tourists are coming just for it in the area or all stopping every year on their way to Nice or Cannes.

The beaches can not be neglected and they will probably be the part of the town when the visitors will spend most of their day and the vacation. Besides lying under the sun, the sand area will offer many attractions and renting equipment for such popular sports as windsurfing, canoeing and sailing. Pampelonne is the most famous and visited from all of the beaches situated in the area. It is also hosting the traditional October regatta in the region.

When you are away from the beach or you just want to try something else, it is good to explore the town by feet. The Old Town is one part of the city which can be very good to start with. It certainly has so much to show to its visitors.

In case you are a museum fan, you can find one at the clock tower. There are very nice pieces of art, situated inside it. The ancient fortress in the town which is kept in perfect condition is home for the Maritime Museum.
