Man is aways fascinated and inspired by the beauty of nature. Nature soothsour eyes and put our body and the soul at comfort. One of the countless beauties of nature is Lakes. They tend to take us to amity and tranquility in present day’s busy life.  Here is a list of top five most beautiful lakes in the world; whenever you find some free time, visit these lakes and enjoy the calm and tranquilent environment they have.


5. Peyto Lake, Canada


Peyto Lake is located in Baniff National Park, Canada and  is named after the best guide in the Baniff area , Bill Peyto. This glacier-fed lake,which is at a height of 1,860 meters, recieves crystal clear waters from Peyto Glacier during the summer season. At times, the water also causes a large number of glacial rock flour to flow into the lake which give it a beautiful turquoise color and a wonderful vivacity and shine. Petyo lake is the last among top five most beautiful lakes in the world.


4. Shangrila, Pakistan


Also known as Lower Kachura Lake, Shangrila lake is located at about twenty minutes four-wheel drive from Skardu. It’s actually a part of Shangrila resort which is also known as “Heaven on Earth” thanks to its spectacular beauty, breath-taking views and appeasing atmosphere.  The water is clear blue with the rumination of the beautiful plush cottages adjacent to the lake. The lake contributes to states’ economy as well since it is one of the major honeymoon spots in Pakistan.  


3. Lake Como, Italy


Third on the list of top five most beautiful lakes in the world is Lake Como, Italy. It is also a glacier-fed lake that fills when the glaciers melt during summers. Como Lake is stretched over 146 km² and hence Is third largest lake in Italy. Furthermore, with depth of more than 400 meters, it is one of the deepest lakes in Europe. It has been a reputed spot for elite class people since the Roman times.


2. Dal Lake, Kashmir


Located in Srinagar, Dal Lake is one of the world’s most amazing and beautiful lakes. “Srinagar’s jewel” has lovely floating gardens, boat houses, hotels and parks and all these collectively give such a fascinating view that can’t be overlooked anyway.


1. Lake Geneva, Switzerland and France


At number one we have Lake Geneva. Located in Switzerland and France, it’s the third largest lake in Western Europe. A bigger portion of the lake (60%) lies in Switzerland while the rest 40% is in France. This crescent-shaped lake lies on the path of the Rhone and receives water when the glaciers melt down.
